SARASOTA, Fla (December 7, 2016) — Make the holiday break more memorable by enrolling your child(ren) in a special youth aquatics camp at Nathan Benderson Park. The four-day, fun-filled camp, managed by SANCA, (Suncoast Aquatic Nature Center Associates, Inc.) will teach children the five disciplines of rowing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, dragon boat paddling, RC sailboating along with powerboat safety. Campers will learn the basics of all these water activities and most important, they will learn about water safety.
“We are pleased to offer local children the opportunity to spend some time over their vacation at the park learning about, and trying first-hand, the different water activities that are so prevalent in our area,” said Robert J. Sullivan, president and CEO of SANCA. “Nathan Benderson Park provides a great introduction for teaching children the basics of rowing, kayaking, dragon boat paddling and more.”
There will be three different sessions, each four days long. The sessions will run December 19th– 22nd, December 26th-29th and January 3rd – 6th. Camp hours are 9 a.m. – noon, daily and the cost is $120/camper per session. Before and after camp care will be available at an additional cost.
