SARASOTA/BRADENTON, FL – A Perfect Event SRQ recently presented “Hula for Heroes” at Sun-N-Fun RV Resort in Sarasota, with more than 100 community members in attendance. The tropical-themed event included performances by authentic Polynesian dancers and musicians, and a complete five-course luau featuring an on-site pig roast. The event benefited local veterans groups, including Goodwill Manasota’s Veterans Services Program; several veterans’ organizations were on hand to provide information about their services.
Through the Veterans Services Program, Goodwill Manasota helps returning servicemen and women reintegrate back into their families, communities and jobs. In its three years of operation, the program has helped more than 1,500 and their families, connecting veterans with necessary social services, providing emotional and physical support, offering free employment services, and distributing funds for emergency needs through its SERV (Special Emergency Resources for Veterans) program.
“Goodwill Manasota was honored to participate in the Hula for Heroes event with a valued community partner like A Perfect Event SRQ,” said Goodwill Manasota president and CEO Bob Rosinsky. “We work hard to provide much-needed programs and services for our returning heroes, who face many challenges upon their return home. We thank the community for coming out to enjoy this evening of entertainment benefiting veterans and letting them know we appreciate all they have done and continue to do for us.”
“As a Goodwill Ambassador, I am familiar with all of the services that Goodwill Manasota provides to the local community and particularly to our veterans,” said A Perfect Event SRQ founder MarcAnthony Roman. “We are proud to be able to raise awareness about services available to local veterans and contribute to Goodwill Manasota’s Veterans Services Program through our Hula for Heroes event.”
