|Success Story: Tory
Dedication, Hard Work and Wheels
|Tory through her dedication and hard work has completed our 1 year program by making her monthly $125 payments and volunteer hours. Now Tory has earned the title to her “New to Her” 2009 Toyota Camry donated by State Farm that is still running strong.
When Tory received her vehicle from Wheels of Success it was not just about getting to work but also the ability to see her sons who did not live with her. She is a hard worker and has always been, never missing a day of work despite previously relying on public transportation. Along with her fierce determination to succeed, her vehicle is her primary Key to Success. Having a reliable vehicle enabled her to advance in her career; she is now a fully licensed insurance agent working for one of Tampa’s top agencies and doing well. Her 2009 Toyota Camry also grew her relationship with her sons. Thanks to her Wheels she is able not only able to visit them, she can also take them places and spend quality time with them.
Donating A Car to Wheels of Success
You receive the greatest tax advantage for your donation because we try not sell your car at auction but present it to a family so you can deduct the fair market value of the vehicle.
|Waiting for Wheels: Diana
Cars for Caregivers
|Diana has 3 beautiful children and works as a respiratory therapist at a local hospital making transportation an extreme challenge for her without her own vehicle. As a respiratory therapist, her hours don’t always coincide with the local bus schedules.
Public transportation to get her kids to school every day at 7:15 would mean leaving the house at 6 am or earlier and cost $6 a day. For her children’s benefit she came up with the temporary solution of using Uber to take her children to school on time with a cost of only $7 a day. Even with her creative solutions of Uber and family whenever possible, it sometimes takes her 2 hours to get to work, and another 1 to 2 hours to get home.
Diane has just been given the opportunity to move to the night shift. If she takes the position she will make an additional $3/hr. but in order to be able to accept the new schedule she will need her own vehicle, as no buses run at 3 am.
Diana qualifies for Wheels of Success’

Topics also include tire information, what to do to prevent your car from overheating and what to do if it does to prevent additional expensive repairs. Many of our Car Class graduates have reported that the lessons they learned saved their vehicle from expensive vehicle repairs.
