Located in Tampa and Miami, the Florida Venture Forum, Florida’s largest statewide support organization for investors and entrepreneurs, is in search of 20 – 25 later stage companies to tell their story to a national audience of investors and business professionals at the 26th annual Florida Venture Capital Conference being held February 2 – 3, 2017 at the Waldorf Astoria in Orlando.
“Florida’s entrepreneurial ecosystem is thriving across all industries and the outlook for venture investing in our state continues to be on the upswing,” said Kevin Burgoyne, President/CEO of the Florida Venture Forum.
Presenters at past Florida Venture Capital Conferences have raised approximately $3 billion in equity capital. More than 500 people attended the 2016 Conference, including 200+ private equity investors from across the U.S., Europe and Latin America, representing billions of dollars in deployable capital.
Florida-based companies will receive priority review by a selection committee made up of active equity investors, and non-Florida based applicants with operations or interest in Florida will also be considered. The annual Conference showcases 20 – 25 companies before a national and international audience of venture capitalists, private equity and angel investors, and other industry professionals. Companies in all industries with dedicated management teams, proprietary technology and high growth potential are encouraged to apply.
Selected companies will have access to the following opportunities:
• One-on-one meetings with potential investors
• Investor attendee list beforehand
• Marketing and media coverage upon selection, during and after the event
• One-on-one coaching opportunities from successful investors and industry professionals
• Discounted admission for additional attendees to ensure adequate team coverage
• Telephonic pre-conferences with experts re: term sheet negotiations, valuations, venture capital, etc.
• Listed as part of the Forum 50 on the Forum’s website
Detailed application criteria and the presenter application can be accessed online (hard copy submissions will not be accepted). Companies wishing to submit an application to present at the Conference should complete the PRESENTER APPLICATION online by the early deadline of Friday, November 25, 2016. The final deadline to submit an application is Friday, December 9, 2016. Submitted applications will be reviewed by a selection committee comprised of active venture capitalists and private equity investors.
