Hillsborough Community College (HCC) in conjunction with LEAP – Hillsborough College Access Network, will host a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Lab on Saturday, November 5, 2016. LEAP’s ultimate goal is to increase the percentage of 25-64 year olds in Hillsborough County with industry-recognized postsecondary credentials including degrees and certifications to 60 percent by the year 2025. Completing the FAFSA is the strongest predictor of postsecondary program going rates in Florida, according to the Florida College Access Network. Additionally, LEAP hopes to increase the number of high school seniors completing the FAFSA by 5% in every high school in Hillsborough County.
The FAFSA Lab will provide Hillsborough County students and their parents with assistance in completing all the necessary forms. Participants will need to bring their FSA ID, parent and student 2015 tax returns, and parent and student 2015 W-2 forms.
