Marylou Bourdow joins Board as executive officer; two local leaders join the Board of Directors
St. Petersburg, Fla. (October 26, 2016) – St. Petersburg Free Clinic appoints two new executive officers and adds three new board members to its Board of Directors. Board members provide oversight and input on strategy for St. Petersburg Free Clinic, which provides food, shelter and healthcare services for Pinellas County residents.
Marylou Bourdow, a retired ValPak/Cox Target Media executive, joins the Board of Directors as its Secretary, and Valerie DiGennaro, managing partner at Seabridge Wealth Management, LLC, is serving as Treasurer. Board Chair Michael Bice, a retired healthcare professional, and Vice-Chair Bill Van Law, president of the investment advisors division at Raymond James Financial, continue their terms.
In addition, Barbara Baccari, Esquire at MediationWorks, and Kimberly Jackson, Academic Department Chair for Social and Behavioral Services at St. Petersburg College, have joined St. Petersburg Free Clinic’s 20-member Board of Directors.
“Our Board members provide key leadership to help advance our mission of serving our neighbors in need,” said Beth Houghton, executive director of St. Petersburg Free Clinic. “They generously provide their time and expertise to create a positive impact in our community.”
Board members are elected for a three-year term, and take an active role in fundraising and strategic planning. During their tenure, they are responsible for monitoring the implementation of plans, policy and fiscal matters; serving on organizational committees; and helping to build connections in order to raise awareness about the Free Clinic’s eight programs.
