ORLANDO, Fla. — Pulte Homes partnered with its vendors and raised $80,000 to benefit Give Kids the World Village at the homebuilder’s recent third annual Building to Make Lives Better Golf Tournament at Lake Nona Golf & Country Club.
Tournament proceeds will help fund Give Kids The World Village, a nonprofit resort in Kissimmee that exists only to host children with life-threatening illnesses and their families on a free, weeklong vacation to visit Central Florida’s theme parks. The “storybook” resort is a child’s dream come true, offering spacious accommodations in a whimsical villa, delicious meals, accessible rides and nightly entertainment.
Working with more than 240 wish-granting organizations around the world, the Village hosts nearly 8,000 families per year from all 50 states and 76 countries.
“So many children and their families will be helped by this outstanding and generous fundraising effort, and we are so appreciative of all of our local trade partners who participated and proud to be part of it,” said Peter Keane, Pulte Homes North Florida Division President.
