The inaugural Et Cultura Film, Art, Music, and Interactive Festival will be held November 16-20, 2016 in downtown St. Petersburg, FL. The festival is St. Petersburg’s showcase for art, music, film, makers, cutting-edge technologies, digital innovation and entrepreneurial inspiration.
“We are proud to be one of the sponsors of Et Cultura Festival and to play a significant role in PR and marketing for the event,” said Pinstripe president, Ginger Reichl. “We are fortunate to live in a community that embraces the arts and technology and provides a forum to keep us on the leading edge of these arenas. This festival will put St. Pete even higher on the list of cultural places to visit in the U.S.”
The interactive branch of the festival features compelling presentations and forums from the brightest minds in emerging technology, interactive media, and disruptive entrepreneurism and will include exciting networking events hosted by industry leaders. Confirmed interactive presentations include “Emerging Technologies,” a discussion on what is new and emerging in the tech world and how it affects daily life and the educational environment of the future. “Rise of Digital Art” will be a discussion on how digital art is being used in multiple artistic disciplines and how it is being received by audiences. Other presentations will include panels about entrepreneurialism, an introduction by Walter Balser of the Innovation District in St. Petersburg, and other keynote speakers to be announced in the coming weeks.
The film branch of the event will include films by Drew Perlmutter, Good Enough Films, Annie O’ Neill, Orlando Cicilia, Jordan Liebowitz, Skinner Myers, David Bornstein, and more, all to be screened at Green Bench Brewery.
Pop-up art shows will also be held at Green Bench Brewery. Black Amethyst Tattoo Gallery will curate a show with the theme “Heroes vs. Villains,” in which artists are asked to draw inspiration from film and literature. HYPE will curate a graphic design exhibition with the theme of culture, encouraging artists to explore how culture has inspired their work. Orange Box Studios will curate Carousel No.6, which is an annual slideshow event featuring photographers presenting work before a live audience.
The music lineup includes The Hip Abduction, Dan Orlando, Kendra, Walker Lukens, Future Thieves, Professor Toon, Tides of Man, Hot Jam Factory, Luxury Mane, The Jackettes, DEA and Saint, Gat & Chris, Passerine, and more to be announced before October 1. The music main stage will be on Baum Avenue, near Green Bench Brewery.
