BRADENTON, Fla. — Orthopedic spine specialist Dr. Timothy T. Roberts has joined the comprehensive and full-service practice Coastal Orthopedics Sports Medicine & Pain Management (CoastalOrthopedics.com).
Dr. Roberts completed a combined neurosurgical and orthopedic spine surgical fellowship from the prestigious Cleveland Clinic following his orthopedic residency at Albany Medical College. He earned his Doctorate of Medicine from Tufts University School of Medicine.
He is accepting new patients at Coastal Orthopedics and is specializing in treating cervical and lumbar degenerative spinal conditions, athletic injuries to the spine, adult and pediatric spinal deformities, spine trauma, motion-preserving surgery, minimally invasive spine surgery and more.
“The physicians at Coastal are very good at what they do, and they’re all at the top of their game,” Dr. Roberts said. “I’m so impressed with the group. I’ve been inspired by the cases I’ve worked on so far here, and I’m looking forward to helping more people.”
Dr. Roberts is currently working on two studies – one with the Cleveland Clinic about epidural cervical injections and one about the habits of spine surgeons that will include the results of surveys sent to hundreds of spine surgeons across the country.
He is the author of over 30 peer-reviewed papers on spine surgery and orthopedic surgery, and he has co-authored, edited and published the popular medical student textbook “Case Files: Orthopaedic Surgery.” Dr. Roberts has also contributed to over 25 medical and surgical textbook chapters on spine surgery and orthopedic surgery.
In the coming months, Dr. Roberts will be leading seminars at independent living and skilled nursing facilities about spinal issues, back pain management and how many patients can be treated with conservative measures.
