SARASOTA, Fla. – Halfacre Construction Company (HalfacreConstruction.com), the area’s oldest, most established, locally owned and operated private commercial construction company, has hired two new employees – a project manager and a project superintendent.
Mark Christenson has joined Halfacre Construction as a project manager after serving as a project manager for a Florida civil construction contractor. Holly Beach is Halfacre’s newest superintendent. He worked as a superintendent for a commercial construction company in Fort Myers, Fla.
“Christenson and Beach are strong additions to the Halfacre Construction team,” Halfacre President Jack Cox said. “We’re thrilled at the growth of our company, and we look forward to seeing continued growth throughout the fall and into 2017.”
As a project manager, Christenson was responsible for construction operations and equipment as well as the scheduling of all in-house crews and subcontractors. Prior to working for the company, he was a construction project manager for capital improvement projects for Sarasota County.
Christenson has been certified as a storm water management inspector by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and has completed advanced training in Maintenance of Traffic and Asphalt Paving Level 1 from the Florida Department of Transportation.
Prior to joining Halfacre Construction, Beach coordinated projects between subcontractors, engineers, inspectors and owners. He also scheduled projects, reviewed blueprints and managed construction jobs from start to finish.
Beach is certified in water management and has completed intermediate training in Maintenance of Traffic and 30 hours of Occupational Safety and Health Administration training.
