SARASOTA, FLORIDA – One of the most exciting urban projects to come to Sarasota in recent years will be the future home of RE/MAX Platinum Realty’s downtown Sarasota office. The prominent residential and commercial real estate firm will be a ground-floor tenant of the mixed-use development, known as 1500 State Street, which is located at the corner of State Street and Lemon Avenue.
“We appreciate the vision of this development and are happy to dove-tail it with our goals for our downtown Sarasota office,” said Broker Bryan Guentner, who owns RE/MAX Platinum Realty with his wife, Cheri.
Plans call for two floors of commercial space in two structures, with 20 boutique residential condominiums over one of the structures, targeting young professionals. Sarasota Magazine and its sister publication, 941CEO, will occupy the second floor of both buildings, connected by a walkover bridge. Optimal Art is also slated as a ground-floor tenant.
Chris Gallagher of Hoyt Architects designed the project. The development team includes Dr. Mark Kauffman and Hembree & Associates, general contractor Jackson & Associates, investor Elita Krums-Kane, real estate broker Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Realty, and Red Property Management.
