ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (Sept 15, 2016) – PARC today announced the names of five recipients who will be honored with the prestigious Edythe Ibold Humanitarian Award, and who will be honored at the 47th Annual Black Tie Gala on Saturday, October 8, 2016.
Named for one of PARC’s founders, Edythe Ibold, this award recognizes people who selflessly give of themselves to improve the lives of others, just as she did over 65 years ago. PARC accepted nominations from the community and selected five honorees that demonstrate an exceptional history of achievement in philanthropy and community service in the Tampa Bay area.
The evening will be remarkable and with much gratitude, PARC will honor some amazing people for their outstanding efforts to improve the lives of those in our community:

• Beth Houghton, Executive Director of St. Petersburg Free Clinic
• Nora Pearson, Director of Nursing, Masonic Home
• The White Family Foundation

PARC’s 47th Annual Black Tie Gala will be held at The Vinoy in St. Petersburg, FL and is themed “An Evening of Inspiration”. The event will include a cocktail hour, silent and live auctions, dinner, dancing, casino, and other exciting entertainment. Music provided by The Dan Orlando Band, and program emceed by Dick Crippen, Senior Advisor to the Tampa Bay Rays, and Gayle Guyardo, News Anchor for News Channel 8.
