ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – (Sept. 15, 2016) – Tampa Bay Innovation Center, an innovation and entrepreneurship center for technology businesses, will hold its October 2016 TECH Talk program on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 8:30 a.m. at Microsoft Headquarters office, 5426 Bay Center Dr., Suite 700, Tampa.
The program, “An Ounce of Prevention: Proper Planning of Your Startup to Avoid Common Pitfalls,” will be presented by William “Gill” Lazenby of Ellison Lazenby, PLLC, a St. Petersburg-based law firm whose practice focuses on corporate, finance and real estate transactions. In addition to general corporate and real estate matters, Lazenby has successfully guided his clients through startup formations, mergers, asset sales and acquisitions, mezzanine lending transactions, private financing, and when needed, dissolutions. He is a graduate of The University of South Carolina and The Florida State University College of Law.
His presentation will provide an overview of real world problems caused by improper planning of startup companies, simple strategies that can help entrepreneurs avoid making similar mistakes, and the benefits of seeking counsel before launching their next business venture.
Presented by Tampa Bay Innovation Center, TECH Talk is the area’s premier networking and education event developed specifically to meet the interests of the local technology community. Attendees include new and startup technology companies, as well as entrepreneurs and those interested in the growth and success of technology innovation and entrepreneurism in the Tampa Bay area.
