Sarasota, FL (September 12) – Suncoast Aquatic Nature Center Associates, Inc. (SANCA) has announced that Nick Cannavo recently joined the staff as the organization’s event and volunteer coordinator. He will assist Sarah Kupiec in managing events that take place at Nathan Benderson Park as well as manage the growing numbers of individuals who volunteer at the park.
“Nick’s passion for sports and for managing people make him very well suited for this position,” said Bob Sullivan, SANCA’s president and CEO. “We are happy to have him on board and are confident he will be an asset to the team.”
Prior to SANCA, Cannavo was a program coordinator of events at the Florida Youth Soccer Association. While there, he helped to manage state wide tournaments, regional tournaments and the organization’s annual general meeting.
Originally from Rhode Island, Nick earned a degree in sports management from the University of Tampa.
The Suncoast Aquatic Nature Center Associates, Inc. (SANCA), is a not-for-profit business created to manage Nathan Benderson Park, a Sarasota County park and world-class, multi-use sports venue.
