Trinity, Florida (September 12, 2016) — Florida Cancer Affiliates (FCA), a community-based radiation oncology, medical oncology, and hematology practice, announces that its Trinity center will host a general cancer support group meeting. The group meets every other Wednesday each month at the Trinity center, 3611 Little Road, Trinity, Florida 34654.
Anyone interested in joining and learning about this group should call Julia Sasha Bartunek at 727-326-2646. The next meeting is scheduled for September 28, from 6 – 7:30 pm.
The bi-weekly support group at Florida Cancer Affiliates’ Trinity center is conducted by a licensed clinical social worker and covers a wide range of topics. Participants are provided with useful educational material about cancer and cancer treatment. Survivors and family members will be given the opportunity to raise concerns about their condition and learn what others are feeling and what they experience. Best of all, they will learn about the joy of new friendship and learn that they are not alone.
Anyone who has been touched by any form of cancer is invited to attend, not just patients of Florida Cancer Affiliates. Family members are also encouraged to attend. Refreshments are served and reservations are advised.
