SARASOTA, Fla., Sept. 7, 2016 – Critical Veterinary Care of Sarasota (CVC) has expanded its medical staff with the addition of Dr. Byron Young as an owner and chief of surgery.
Young focuses on various types of surgeries including soft tissue, orthopedic, oncologic, reconstructive and abdominal, among many others. He also performs regenerative procedures such as stem cell and platelet rich plasma therapies. “Dr. Young’s skills and bedside manner are top notch. His expertise in arthroscopy and reconstructive surgery are assets for this area,” said Dr. Anne Chauvet, CVC’s chief of neurology.
A graduate of Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine, Young completed his master’s degree and surgical residency at Virginia Tech in 2002 and attained his board certification in 2004. Prior to joining CVC, Young was a staff surgeon with D.C. Vets Small Animal Veterinary Surgery of Northern Virginia and Maryland.
