One of the City’s signature projects is planning its grand opening this month, the Chamber of Commerce is on the move, and grants are helping attract new businesses to the Downtown area. Send an e-mail.
A grand opening and ribbon cutting will be held Thursday, Sept. 8, 4-7 p.m., for Walton Place ALF, a 120-bed assisted living facility and memory care center at 501 S. Walton Ave. Located near the City Recreation Center, Public Safety Facility, Pinellas County Health Dept., and U.S. 19, the City sold this former city-owned nursing home in 2014. The new facility fills a need for elderly care, creates up to 100 new jobs, generates new property tax revenues, and its reconstruction is revitalizing the neighborhood. Join city leaders in celebrating this successful urban infill project.

Tarpon Springs Chamber in New Location
As of Sept. 1, the Chamber of Commerce is located at 1 N. Pinellas Ave., one block east of its former location on Tarpon Avenue. The updated new space features a conference room and a planned art gallery.
