Fundraising goal for this year’s tournament would provide 715 counseling sessions to the community
August 31, 2016 (Sarasota, FL) Samaritan Counseling Services of the Gulf Coast will host their 10th Annual Golf Tournament on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Laurel Oak Golf & Country Club. Registration is set to begin at 7:30am with a shotgun tee off at 8:30am.
The fundraising goal for this year’s tournament is $40,000, which would provide 715 counseling sessions to the community for those unable to afford the full fee. Executive Director Rev. Rick Howell is excited about the potential impact of this year’s tournament and what it means for the clients served at Samaritan. “Most of our clients that utilize the Client Assistance Fund do not need the entire fee covered, so we fund what they cannot. We also see clients start out using the Client Assistance Fund and, over time, they are able to make such significant strides that they no longer need to utilize that resource. It’s a privilege to assist with their progress.”
Registration is open and sponsorships remain available for the tournament. Registration for a foursome is $400 and includes a light breakfast, a cart, 18 holes, and lunch. Sponsorships begin at just $100. Anyone interested in participating can find more information online at SamaritanGulfCoast.com by clicking on the Events tab. Information about sponsorships is also available by calling Margaret Boyd, Director of Philanthropy at 941-320-2552.
