The Fox Jazz Club was a Tampa favorite with a central prime location in the Westshore business district. Mr. Erik Mishiyev aka DJ Short-E plans to reopen the venue and call it Rain Lounge Café.
TAMPA, Fla. – Aug. 31, 2016 — Whether by the creator’s design or by forces beyond our comprehension, in each generation there comes along a few titans, prodigies and champions. Individuals that emit so much strength, so much raw magnetic appeal and energy that it affects everyone and everything around them. Once again this phenomenon has occurred, once again the bar of excellence has been raised, this time it is Erik Mishiyev.
Erik is an icon in the Tampa Bay area and worldwide. As DJ Short-E he has performed and promoted for some of the hottest clubs in cities all over the country. He has interviewed countless A-list celebrities becoming a heavy hitter in the entertainment industry. Coming across someone with such a broad scope of talent is rare, someone naturally endowed with every component needed to be instantly thrust among the elite in their craft. This man’s energy and sense of style are unmatched. He has set the bar high for entrepreneurs!
Out of all his global travels Tampa, FL always stood out from the rest and claimed a special place in Erik’s heart. He calls the Bay area home and a hidden treasure, where he went to college, started his own business and met the love of his life. Now, he feels it is time for the next chapter in his career, to give the people of Tampa Bay a unique and classy place to dine and dance. The Rain Lounge Café will have an upscale ambiance to attract the grown and sexy people of Tampa Bay. The Westshore business district is in need of a warm and friendly place to unwind after work. Warm colors, fresh flowers, soft music and candlelight is the perfect setting for the ultimate dining experience. The bar will be stocked with top shelf named brands and the restaurant will feature an affordable American-Mediterranean menu with a touch of Asian influence. Amazing artwork from some of the area’s most notable artists will be displayed throughout the 5000 square foot space bringing a sense of community, giving the gifted artists an opportunity to show their work to a diverse clientele.
The restaurant will be open 7 days a week from 11am-9pm serving lunch and dinner while relaxing to Jazz music playing on our house system. Weekends will host live bands from 9pm-3am. Erik loves to give back to the community so you can expect frequent charity fund raising events in addition to red carpet Hollywood style premieres.
Aside from investing his own money and sweat equity, Erik’s goal is to raise an additional $100,000 from investors in exchange for shares in the company that will help cover the rent for the 1st year and pay for miscellaneous business expenses. As a bonus incentive, the first 100 people investing by October 15th, 2016 will receive a VIP Black card which gives a plus 1 free entry to all events along with a generous 25% discount on food and drinks. This is unheard of and usually only available to closest friends and family. Erik hopes to open on New Years Eve!
