(Tampa, FL. August 30, 2016) Homes for Heroes is sponsoring a ‘Honoring Our Heroes’ Day to show support for our Military Service personnel, Law Enforcement Officers, Firefighters, Emergency Medical Services workers, Teachers, Healthcare employees and all of their respective families. There will be food, music, games, children’s activities, award presentations and opportunity drawings. Since blood donors are also silent heroes on many ‘First Responder’ teams, a blood drive will also be held during the event in service to the community.

One in three people will need blood in their lifetime. Blood that is donated today will likely be transfused into a patient within two to three days. The turn-around is that fast, the need is constant.
