TRENAM’S LORI VAUGHAN NAMED TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S INSOLVENCY AND RESTRUCTURING CONFEDERATION
Tampa, Fla., Aug. 24, 2016 – Trenam Law announces that shareholder Lori Vaughan has been elected to serve on the board of directors for the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing women in the industry worldwide. Vaughan will serve as a director-at-large for a two-year term, which will commence at the IWIRC Annual Conference in San Francisco in October.
“Lori is a proven leader among her colleagues at Trenam, and we are excited that she is lending her skills and talents to serve an organization that empowers women in leadership roles on a global and regional level,” said J. Eric (“Tate”) Taylor, chair of the Executive Board at Trenam. “Lori’s service to the IWIRC will be impactful, and she will be a positive role model for all its members.”
At Trenam, Vaughan’s legal practice focuses on business reorganizations, trustee representation, bankruptcy litigation, commercial foreclosure and lender liability. She also represents official committees appointed by the Bankruptcy Court. She is Board Certified in business bankruptcy by the American Board of Certification.
In addition to her international leadership role at IWIRC, Vaughan is very active in a number of professional and community organizations throughout the Tampa Bay and statewide business communities. This appointment follows her term as co-chair and Tampa director on the board of directors for the IWIRC Florida Network. Vaughan serves as Treasurer for the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association and is also an active member of the Business Law section of The Florida Bar, where she is past chair of the Bankruptcy/Uniform Commercial Code, Bankruptcy Judicial Liaison and Membership Committees.
Vaughan earned her undergraduate degree from Eckerd College and her law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
