TAMPA, Fla. (Aug. 25, 2016) — As an award-winning bilingual TV personality with 25 years in journalism, Pilar Ortiz is very familiar with what it takes to communicate effectively and get results fast. She will be covering that topic as keynote speaker at the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) Florida event on Sept. 13.
HBA Florida will host the event at Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant on West Boy Scout Boulevard in Tampa from 6-8:30 p.m. Ortiz will deliver a dynamic speech on how to find and use your authentic voice, how to feel more confident and how to build stronger relationships based on trust.
“Pilar delivers an inspirational, powerful message that motivates the audience to take action,” said Camille Garnett, HBA Florida president. “We’re excited to have her and hope the healthcare businesswomen of Tampa Bay will take advantage of this learning and networking opportunity.”
As an experienced journalist, Ortiz has worked for Univision, Telemundo and CNN Latino. She co-hosted the Voices of Experience for the National Speakers Association and is the first Hispanic female to do so. Her presentation skills and media/video coaching has helped hundreds of executives, professional speakers and entrepreneurs build confidence and enhance their strengths to succeed in front of a live audience. Ortiz is the proud recipient of several prestigious awards, including Tampa Hispanic Woman of the Year (2014), Simon Bolivar Award, Women in Media Award and Rosita Perez Spirit Award (2014).
