Tampa, Fla. (Thursday, August 18, 2016) – The Dikman Company announced today that Michael English will be rejoining The Dikman Company this September. He will resume his position to provide strategic and land use perspective to the company’s real estate activities.
“Mike’s urban planning, development, engineering and construction expertise coupled with his extensive private and governmental contacts will be a HUGE value-add to The Dikman Company,” said Bob Dikman, Chairman and CEO of The Dikman Company. “I am looking forward to having him on board in an active role to help us reach the next level.”
English’s previous experience includes being a city planner, urban designer and cultural anthropologist in the Tampa Bay area since 1975. He has a Master’s Degree in anthropology from USF. English also developed an award winning (money-losing), urban-infill subdivision, Audubon Park on S. Westshore Blvd. Still beautiful after all these years.
Currently, he is the president of Tampa Historic Streetcar, Inc., the governing board of our streetcar system, and worked with then-Mayor Dick Greco and attorneys David Mechanik, Gordon Schiff and the late Stephen Pankou and was also an original incorporator of that Board. English is a Board and Executive Committee member of the Tampa Downtown Partnership, a member of the Board of Trustees of the FSU Coastal Marine Laboratory and an ex-Officio member of the Board of Directors of the Florida Redevelopment Association.
