Icard Merrill attorney Jessica M. Farrelly recently participated in a “Brunch & Learn” career development program at Girls Inc. of Sarasota. On July 18th, Ms. Farrelly led a discussion with middle school students about careers in the law. The group discussed the education and skills required to become an attorney, and the different roles attorneys fulfill in educating and advising individuals and businesses about the law. Ms. Farrelly and Icard Merrill support Girls Inc.’s mission of inspiring young girls to pursue their passion and be strong, smart and bold.
Ms. Farrelly joined Icard Merrill earlier this year and concentrates her practice in the areas of employment law and civil litigation. Her career includes a partnership at a defense litigation firm in Boston and most recently with a management-side employment boutique firm in Sarasota. Ms. Farrelly graduated cum laude from Suffolk University Law School in Boston and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, with honors, from the University of Dayton in Ohio.
