PINELLAS COUNTY, FL (August 15, 2016) – In 1985, Michael Shaluly founded his company with one hand grinding machine and one dust collector in a small garage in Safety Harbor, Florida. Today, just two miles away from that small garage, MasterCut Tool Corp. has become a worldwide leader in the cutting tool industry, with distribution in over 40 countries.
The company has expanded into a 70,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility, opened a European Sales Office and employs over 100 staff members. The company is proud to call Safety Harbor in Pinellas County its global headquarters, as they celebrate over 30 years as a world class manufacturer.
On August 9th, at the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioner’s meeting, Michael Shaluly, President of MasterCut Tool, was recognized for his contributions to the Pinellas economy and leadership in the business community with the “Thank you for Doing Business in Pinellas,” award presented by Commission Chairman Charlie Justice.
“I’d like to thank Michael for his entrepreneurial spirit, vision, dedication to our community and for creating over 100 jobs in Pinellas County,” said Commissioner Charlie Justice, Chairman of the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners. “We’re honored to have MasterCut Tool producing some of the finest cutting tools in the industry and leading the way for the next generation with internships and careers in manufacturing.
“Thank you to the Commission and the Chairman for this award,” said Michael Shaluly, President of MasterCut Tool Corp. “Our devoted staff and their enthusiastic commitment to our “Customers’ Needs Come 1st” (CNC1st) philosophy has allowed us to grow and expand MasterCut Tool. Our customers’ loyalty and confidence over the years has been the foundation for our success. We’ve been able to expand our global distribution and stay rooted in the City of Safety Harbor. Thank you for recognizing manufacturing, which today is a clean and high tech environment, not to be overlooked by today’s youth as a great career opportunity.”
