St. Petersburg, FL – Representatives from the Diocesan Hispanic Assembly, Hispanic young adults, and students from Tampa Catholic High School will work together to assemble over 10,000 nutritious meals to send to Burkina Faso, Africa, through the Helping Hands program. The Helping Hands food-packing program is a joint effort between Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and Stop Hunger Now. The West African country of Burkina Faso is one of the poorest countries in the world.
What: Helping Hands Food-Packing Event
Who: Representatives from the Diocesan Hispanic Catholic Assembly, Hispanic Catholic young adults, and students from Tampa Catholic High School
When: Saturday, August 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (CRS presentation on local and world hunger at 10:30 a.m. followed by lunch. An education session on Burkina Faso will begin at 12:30 p.m. with food-packing to immediately follow.)
