Tampa, Fla. – The Patel Conservatory will present Disney’s Cinderella, KIDS July 28-31, in the TECO Theater.
After an intensive three-week instructional camp focusing on dance, theater and music skills, students in grades three through seven will bring the adapted Disney version of Cinderella to the stage.
In this beloved tale, Cinderella is tormented by her cruel stepmother and stepsisters, and she handles her situation with grace, working hard and making friends with the animals in her midst. When the royal family throws a ball for the entire kingdom, her fairy godmother and animal friends come to her aid. Cinderella attends the ball in style, captivates the prince and after a brief separation involving a glass slipper, she proves that dreams really do come true.
Uplifting songs such as Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo and A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes are production highlights.
Performances of Cinderella are Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday at 1 and 4 p.m. Regularly priced tickets are $20 and may be purchased by calling 813.229.STAR (7827) or 800.955.1045 outside Tampa Bay, in person at the Straz Center Ticket Office or online at www.strazcenter.org.
