Madeira Beach, FL July 4, 2016 – Confirmation has been received that a mermaid is travelling along the beaches near John’s Pass Village. The mermaid was rescued by Madeira Beach Mayor, Travis Palladeno.
“I was walking along the beach when I saw The Mermaid playing in the water. She had lovely red hair and a beautiful green tail that sparkled in the sunshine.” “I’m not sure where she came from or where she’s headed but I convinced her to stay for a while at Florida Under The Sea in John’s Pass Village.” said the mayor.
Many residents and tourists are questioning the validity of these reports, with many raising the question as to why a mermaid would be in these waters. However, Florida Under The Sea confirms the sightings and has convinced The Mermaid to stay and greet visitors.
The owner of Florida Under The Sea, Bob Barrett, said they are taking the appropriate steps to ensure The Mermaid’s health and safety. And he encourages everyone to take this limited time opportunity to meet The Mermaid before she has to return to the sea. “We are very lucky to have the facilities to house and protect such a unique creature.” said Barrett.
