CLEARWATER, Fla. — On April 19, longtime Clearwater Gas System employee and gas coordinator, Mike Deegan was recognized with the Bronze Award of Merit by the American Gas Association (AGA) for his untiring and outstanding efforts and participation as a key member of several AGA licensing boards and committees.
Each year, the American Gas Association’s Operations Section recognizes an individual who provides service to the gas industry through participation in various gas industry groups and platforms. During the last 15 years, Mike Deegan has been a subject matter expert on gas codes and standards and currently serves on two national Gas Codes and Standards Development Committees: NFPA 54 and the International Fuel Gas Code. In addition, Mike has served as the past committee chairman for both the American Public Gas Association and Florida Natural Gas Association Codes and Standards committee.
“We’re so proud of Mike and all his accomplishments over his 30+ year career in the natural gas industry,” said Brian Langille, Clearwater Gas Operations Manager. “If you have a question on codes and standards, he’s the guy to ask.” Mike Deegan received further recognition and an AGA award plaque during the city of Clearwater’s June 16 council meeting.
Clearwater Gas System is an active member of the American Gas Association which represents more than 200 local energy companies that deliver clean natural gas throughout the United States.
