Keep St. Pete Lit invites creative writers to a LitSpace class. Participants will pick the artwork that most inspires them (no two writers will write about the same piece) and write a one page ekphrastic story inspired by that piece. The writers will then perform their work at the closing reception for A-Well Crafted Tale on Saturday, August 13 (4:00-5:30pm) at Florida Craft Art. Meet at the Florida CraftArt Gallery.

Closing Reception for “A Well-Crafted Tale”
Florida CraftArt Gallery
Join us for a lively performance of poems written by local poets as well as St. Petersburg’s Poet Laureate Helen Pruitt Wallace and members of the creative writing LitSpace class. Come meet the artists who created the artwork and imagine your own stories behind over 50 pieces in the “A Well-Crafted Tale” exhibition. Free and open to the public.
“And the story goes on and on…” Add the next line to an ongoing story created on vintage typewriters in the gallery. The vintage typewriters are supplied by Tampa Type and are for sale.
“Life Re-Imagined” AARP brings their bubble board to the gallery to inspire us to think about the “What If’s” in our future. Visitors can document their dreams, what they wish for their friends and family or what’s on their minds at the time.
