Pasco, Hillsborough & Pinellas, Florida – (June 10, 2016) Medical Center of Trinity has recently recognized two nurses for excellence in nursing. The Excellence in Nursing Awards were given at Medical Center of Trinity’s Awards of Distinction Celebration. The Excellence in Nursing Awards were established by HCA to honor outstanding nurses who demonstrate excellence in professional mentoring and compassionate care.
The award winners are:
Kristin Talbot, RN, Excellence in Nursing Professional Mentoring Award. Ms. Talbot has been employed by Medical Center of Trinity since August 2010 where she works in the oncology unit. She was selected because “Kristin always provides excellent patient care and is always trying to ensure the best care is given. Kristin brings a positive attitude to our unit (oncology) and really helps encourage teamwork!”
Lindsay Wendt, RN, Excellence in Nursing Compassionate Care Award. Ms. Wendt has been on staff at Medical Center of Trinity since June 2003 and she now works in the Mother/Baby Unit. She was chosen because “Lindsey consistently displays every asset one would wish to see in a nurse. She is always caring, patient, kind, gentle, organized, calm, willing to help others and eager to teach patients, families and staff.”
