TAMPA – Close to 210 students will receive their degrees from Saint Leo University’s Tampa and MacDill education centers at commencement exercises at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 4 at the Tampa Convention Center in Ballrooms C and D.
Of those, an almost equal number will earn graduate and undergraduate degrees with 95 receiving master’s degrees, 80 earning Bachelor of Arts degrees, and 18 receiving Bachelor of Science degrees. About 20 students also will receive associate of arts degrees.
Debbie Lundberg of Presenting Powerfully will give the commencement address. Her business is based on, “Partnering with individuals and organizations to enhance communication, behaviors, and relationships.”
Lundberg serves on the executive committee for the Board of Directors of the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce and is on the Board of Directors for the Miss Tampa Scholarship Pageant.
Giving the Class of 2016 farewell will be Scott Epstein, who is earning a Master of Business Administration degree, and Matthew Hernandez, who is graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice.
Nadine McDowell, Class of 2015, will lead the graduates in the traditional turning of their tassels and welcome them as Saint Leo University alumni.
The Tampa Convention Center is at 333 S. Franklin St., Tampa, FL 33602. A parking garage is available; the rate is $1.60 per hour or a $9.50 maximum charge and may be paid by cash or credit card.
