ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – High school students, college students and individuals seeking summer volunteer opportunities are invited to attend a volunteer orientation Tuesday, May 31, 3-5 p.m. at our headquarters at 1114 Central Avenue, St. Petersburg.
Volunteers are needed for Creative Clay’s “Art Around the World” inclusionary summer camp for kids 6 to 12, and for the Community Arts Program that serves adults 22 and older with disabilities.
CEO Kim Dohrman will lead the orientation for summer camp and Community Arts Director Emily Turnage will lead the orientation for our Community Arts Program. Creative Clay’s summer camp is from June 13-Aug. 5 and is held at Brick Street Clay Studio in the Warehouse Arts District. Volunteers will assist the lead instructor by helping with set-up, clean up, lunch supervision and working with campers. Community Arts Program volunteers will assist staff and teaching artists by supporting the art-making process, gathering supplies, and other classroom tasks.
