Lakeland, FL – The Watson Clinic Foundation Auxiliary recently presented a check in the amount of $100,500 to the Watson Clinic Foundation in support of cancer research and educational endeavors in our community.
The funds resulted from the generous donations of area philanthropists and local businesses during the 12th annual Toast to Find a Cure event, a wine and cheese social which serves as the centerpiece of the Auxiliary’s fundraising efforts every year. This year’s event was held in the beautiful showroom of Fields Motorcars in Lakeland on Sunday, February 21, and brought together a collective of the area’s most influential and dedicated cancer care activists, including Auxiliary chairperson Linda Logan, Watson Clinic Cancer & Research Center radiation oncologist Dr. Sandra Sha, and Watson Clinic Chief Executive Officer Dr. Louis Saco. The event also included a generous buffet of delectable cuisine and a silent auction featuring over a hundred donated gifts from local vendors.
To date, the Watson Clinic Foundation Auxiliary has raised over $800,000 in support of cancer patients and families right here in our community.
For more information about the event or becoming an Auxiliary member, call Linda Logan at 863-802-6220 or via email at WCFAuxiliary@WatsonClinic.com.
