Sarasota, FL –May 16, 2016 — Suncoast Aquatic Nature Center Associates, Inc. (SANCA) recently announced that Jessica Shorin has been promoted to director of business development where she will be responsible for creating partnerships and conducting community outreach to increase public awareness for Nathan Benderson Park (NBP). “Jessica has been an asset to the SANCA staff and we are pleased to promote her to be the face of the park for the community,” said Bill Robinson, chairman of the SANCA board.
Jessica is eager to take on her new role and work closely with the community in making Nathan Benderson Park a destination for everyone to enjoy. “In addition to bringing more events and programming to the park, we want to make sure everyone realizes that NBP is a place to come for exercise, fun, and relaxation,” she said. “Besides being a world class sports venue, NBP is a community jewel that has something for everyone and we want residents and visitors to the area to benefit from all that it offers.”
Originally from New York, Jessica has spent most of her years in Sarasota. Just prior to joining SANCA, she worked in the marketing and sales department of Plymouth Harbor, a Sarasota retirement community. Before that, she was the director of adult services at a local community mental health agency. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Maine and her Master’s degree in mental health counseling from Webster University in Sarasota.
The Suncoast Aquatic Nature Center Associates, Inc. (SANCA), is a not-for-profit business created to manage Nathan Benderson Park, a community/public asset and world-class, multi-use sports venue. Its mission is to improve the quality of life for our community and be an economic generator for the Sarasota-Bradenton area. SANCA’s primary purpose is to develop and promote Nathan Benderson Park as a world class event center, team training site and Sarasota County Park, while providing outreach programs through recreation, safety training, education and volunteering as a service to our community.
