David Doney of Akerman LLP will discuss crowdfunding
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – (May 12, 2016) – Tampa Bay Innovation Center, an innovation and entrepreneurship center for technology businesses, will hold its June 2016 TECH Talk program on Tuesday, June 14 at 8:30 a.m. at Microsoft Headquarters office, 5426 Bay Center Dr., Suite 700, Tampa.
David Doney, managing partner of Akerman LLP’s Tampa office, will present “Crowdfunding under Federal and State Law” and will discuss the opportunities and risks for small businesses considering a crowdfunding transaction.
Doney’s practice is concentrated in the corporate and securities law areas and principally involves mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities financings, corporate governance, Securities Exchange Act reporting and compliance matters, and other complex business transactions. He has focused his efforts on providing efficient and sophisticated legal services to established public companies, privately held companies with significant growth potential, and sources of capital.
