Tampa, FL (May 11, 2016) – High Risk Hope (HRH) partnered with Hyde Park Village for Give Day Tampa Bay (Give Day), raising $52,500 from 300 donors on May 3, 2016, despite a nationwide outage of the www.Giveday.org website. HRH finished at the top of the leaderboard and broke fundraising records by implementing an internal back-up plan early in the day crafted for this type of unfortunate obstacle.
The funds raised by HRH in 2016 are 60% higher than HRH’s 2015 Give Day results. 35% of HRH’s 2016 Give Day donors are new supporters, and all HRH supporters received discounts at dozens of participating Hyde Park Village stores and restaurants. The funds raised will enable HRH to provide support services to two hospitals for an entire year, impacting the lives of 300 pregnant women on hospital bed rest and 900 premature babies in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). HRH and Hyde Park village will partner exclusively again for Give Day 2017, and expect to have a record day.
