TAMPA, FL (May 10, 2016) — Dave McGerald, CEO of the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County (ELCHC), announced on April 11th that he would retire from the Coalition in late summer 2016.
The ELCHC Board of Directors has implemented a formal procurement process to employ an executive search firm to fill the seat occupied by McGerald for the last 15 years. “Mr. McGerald’s retirement will represent the culmination of a long tenure of service and leadership to the Hillsborough community,” stated Aakash Patel, ELCHC Board of Directors Chair. “We will thank Dave more formally for his years of dedication and services later this summer. In the meantime, our Board of Directors have embarked on an aggressive process to find and appoint a successor,” said Patel.
The ELCHC has issued a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) to find the right search firm to replace McGerald. The RFP will be released on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, and will be available for download from Coalition’s website homepage at www.elchc.org. Interested firms have until May 24 to respond to the RFP. The Coalition hopes to have the search firm in place by mid June 2016.
