SARASOTA, Fla., May 6, 2016 – Chaz Glunk, manager and head instructor of Pure Barre Sarasota, was selected by Lululemon University Town Center to represent the store at Lululemon Athletica’s recent annual Ambassador Summit at its corporate headquarters in Whistler, Canada.
Glunk, a Sarasota native and former dancer with the Sarasota Ballet, was one of 100 participants chosen from more than 2,500 applicants worldwide to attend the Lululemon Summit, which brings together individuals who are inspirational leaders and elevate their communities, according to the manufacturer of yoga and athletic wear. He was selected because of his community involvement, including his work to raise awareness and funding for the Community AIDS Network. Glunk was champion of the 2015 CANDance and also led choreography for the 2014 and 2015 Wine, Women and Shoes fundraiser benefitting Forty Carrots.
“This was the opportunity of a lifetime,” he said. “It was the perfect opportunity to remove myself from my professional personality and center myself. We set goals, made plans, and created friendships with people who can help us stay focused on what makes us happy.”
