Lakeland, FL — In observance of Melanoma/Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Month, the Watson Clinic Foundation is pleased to host a morning of free community skin evaluations with two highly trained and experienced dermatology providers.
“Skin cancer is by far the most common of all cancers in the United States, but the survival rate is overwhelmingly high with early detection and treatment,” says Watson Clinic Foundation Program Coordinator Peggy Garrett. “That’s why maintaining a schedule of routine skin evaluations from a medical professional is so important.”
Conducted by Watson Clinic board-certified dermatologist Linwood D. Bond, Jr., MD and certified physician assistant Jason Kumlien, PA-C, these free evaluations will take place by appointment only on Saturday, May 21 between the hours of 9 am to 12 pm at Watson Clinic’s South location at 1033 N. Parkway Frontage Dr. in Lakeland. Individuals who have not yet established their own dermatologist are encouraged to attend. Participants are asked to wear loose-fitted clothing and no make-up to assist in the screening process.
Appointments are required to take part in these screenings. Please call 863-802-6220 to reserve an evaluation time.
