Joint Events to Feature Retail Locations and Live Music Venues
St. Petersburg, FL. (April 27, 2016) – St. Petersburg’s three Florida Main Street communities, the Grand Central District, the EDGE District, and Deuces Live Main Street, are teaming up for two promotional events in the coming months, the St. Pete Main Street Shop Hop and Music on Main Streets. The two promotions are aimed at raising public awareness about the unique and locally-owned businesses and exceptional entertainment offered in these historic districts.
The Main Street Shop Hop will take place on Wednesday, May 18th from 3:00pm until 7:00pm and will feature select retail shops in all three districts. During the hours of the promotion, shoppers are encouraged to visit the participating locations, each of which will have in-store specials, giveaways, refreshments, and more. In addition, they will distribute Shop Hop Cards to shoppers, for validation at each shop visited. Those who get their Shop Hop Cards validated by five participating shops, with at least one shop in each of the three districts, are eligible to enter drawings for three Grand Prize gift baskets, each valued at over $250.
Music on Main Streets will take place from June 6th through June 12th, and will highlight the live music offered at venues in the three Main Street districts. During the week-long promotion, more than two dozen venues will participate. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the entertainment and explore all three districts, and can enter the St. Pete Main Street ‘Music Fan of the Day’ contest by posting on social media a selfie photo at a participating venue.
