Space Shifter,a commercial real estate marketing Co-Op whose members include some of the most respected brokers in Florida, recently concluded a marketing initiative where 100% of the proceeds were donated to charity. This season Space Shifter is proud to donate $500 to The Gold Shield Foundation. http://goldshieldfoundation.com/ Gold Shield provides funding to the families of fallen law enforcement officers. “We look forward to the day we can raise millions a year for this noble organization and others like it.” Co-Founder of Space Shifter Rick Narkiewicz who is consistently one of the South East’s top commercial real estate brokers.
Narkiewicz is a Veteran of the US Army. “I helped start Space Shifter to enable my industry to harness the power of the internet to drive traffic to our listings and shift our vacancies faster which helps my industry’s clients.” Narkiewicz states the revenues go to operate the system, drive traffic to fill vacancies and the rest goes to charity. “The goal is to raise money for those that enable us to sleep at night such as Veteran’s organizations and First Responders. “As a society we need to take care of their children.”
For a lack of a better word their last event was a College Basketball Pool. There is no cost to participate and the volunteers use product placement strategies to keep their listings top of mind among commercial brokers. The revenue is used for prizes and the rest goes to charity. Narkiewicz’s wife-a former Director of Marketing of a Major International Brand-is the main volunteer. “No one is paid a penny and all the money is given away” Narkiewicz emphasizes.
Space Shifter is one of several companies in the “Launch Phase” of the Tampa Bay WaVe, a technology accelerator based in downtown Tampa. The company has the potential to bring over 300 high paying technology jobs to Tampa Bay and still donate over $15 million annually to charity.
“Our website traffic is already many times that of even the largest brokerage firms and landlords for the same coverage area. The user experience is superior to most websites that exist.” At under $400 a year, members really have nothing to lose says Narkiewicz.
It is my vision to hand over the reigns to a seasoned leader, raise capital and grow a major headquarters here in Tampa. However, we are already being lured by investors from the usual places; Austin, Atlanta and Charlotte. I want Space Shifter to grow in Tampa, but its more important that the philanthropic mission is not compromised.”
If we had a rich uncle among the founders, we would already have 50 full time employees and be a national contender. Space Shifter is enterprise quality software that was built for pennies on the dollar and is extremely scalable. Beside there is a major need in the market.
