Hyde Park Capital and Florida Growth Partners will discuss how companies can be more fundable
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – (April 22, 2016) – Tampa Bay Innovation Center, an innovation and entrepreneurship center for technology businesses, will hold its May 2016 TECH Talk program on Tuesday, May 10 at 8:30 a.m. at Microsoft Headquarters office, 5426 Bay Center Dr., Suite 700, Tampa.
Greg Bosl, vice president of Hyde Park Capital and Robin Lester, managing partner of Florida Growth Partners, will present “How do the money folks view your company?” and will discuss how entrepreneurs, startups and companies of all growth stages can analyze their funding needs, identify funding opportunities and learn how to present their company successfully to prospective funders.
Hyde Park Capital is an investment banking firm that specializes in mergers and acquisitions, capital raising and other financial advisory needs for middle-market companies across multiple industries. Bosl’s main focus is representing the firm’s clients within the Technology and Transportation & Logistics industries. He is responsible for originating, evaluating, executing and managing investment banking transactions. Prior to joining Hyde Park Capital, he worked at Morgan Stanley and EDF Trading North America. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Bosl holds a Master of Business Administration degree from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
Florida Growth Partners is a consulting firm that helps emerging growth companies gain access to sources of capital across the Southeast. Prior to founding Florida Growth Partners, Lester was executive director of the Florida Venture Forum, where she helped raise more than $1.2 billion in venture capital to fund Florida-based companies. During her tenure, she grew the organization by more than 88 percent, making it one of the Top 10 Venture Capital Conferences held annually in the United States. She is also a serial entrepreneur, having started, run and sold more than three firms in North Carolina and Florida. A graduate of Appalachian State University, she earned a Master of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Presented by Tampa Bay Innovation Center, TECH Talk is the area’s premier networking and education event developed specifically to meet the interests of the local technology community. Attendees include new and start-up technology companies, as well as entrepreneurs and those interested in the growth and success of technology innovation and entrepreneurism in the Tampa Bay area.
