Surrounding Businesses plus Households are Invited to Drop off Electronics for Safe and Proper E-Recycling for Earth Day week
TAMPA, Florida — Leading IT Asset Management and E-Recycling company, Southeastern Data, in conjunction with community radio station,88.5 WMNF, is pleased to announce free electronics recycling during Tampa’s 2nd Annual Earth Day Recycling event. Businesses and households are invited to bring broken, unused, or unwanted computers, cell phones, and most other “plug into the wall” electronics to WMNF’s offices at 1210 East MLK Jr. Blvd. in Tampa every day leading up to Earth Day on Friday, April 22nd. Electronics can be dropped off at any time, however, if it is after normal business hours, ask the DJ to let you bring items inside. For a complete list of accepted electronics, visit https://SoutheasternData.com/EarthDay.
“Tampa Bay and surrounding communities embraced this recycling event so wholeheartedly last year that we couldn’t wait to do it again. It is a privilege to help keep these already beautiful communities safe and free from unnecessary e-waste,” said Michael Stubblebine, President of Southeastern Data. “It has been a real pleasure to serve these eco-friendly communities and their residents.”
What Happens to the Electronics?
Southeastern Data collects and processes all electronics. All items that may contain sensitive data, such as hard drives and memory cards, will be sanitized or destroyed. Every piece collected will be remarketed, recovered, or recycled at no cost to the public.
Last year’s Earth Day recycling event not only kept electronics out of our landfills but kept millions of micrograms of lead out of the environment through the amount of computers collected. “We were blown away by the amount of electronics we collected last year,” said Michael, this helps provide the community with a safe outlet for recycling electronics.”
