30th Anniversary Gala and Appointment of Public Relations Contractor: Kelly Stuart Williams, MA, Director of Marketing and Sales
(TAMPA-March 29, 2016) The Board of Directors of the Carrollwood Area Business Association (CABA) has announced the appointment of Kelly Stuart Williams, Managing Director of Pegasos Public Relations, as a contractor coordinating the media relations and marketing efforts of the organization.
A resident of the Carrollwood Area since 1988, Kelly Stuart Williams began attending CABA functions as a substitute member to her CABA-member client, Beacon Asset Management, in 2008 when she started her public relations company, Pegasos LLC.
“The first CABA event I attended was the “Business Expo” (a pre-cursor to the Taste of Carrollwood) in 2008 at Emerald Greens Country Club where I felt I met the most dynamic group of business owners in Greater Tampa Bay,” said Kelly. “It was a group I knew I wanted to be a member of,” she added.
Since that time, Kelly has continued to participate in CABA networking functions where she has focused her volunteer efforts on membership development, special events, and community outreach. Accordingly, she said she was very excited when the organization chose to create the position of Director of Marketing and Sales to enhance its reach.
“Throughout my career, I have focused my work on causes and organizations that help people achieve their goals while helping the greater community, and CABA is perfectly aligned with my professional objectives,” said Kelly. She added that CABA events such as the March 20, 2016, “free to the public” Taste of Carrollwood is just one example of CABA’s growing focus on benefiting the Tampa Bay community while helping CABA members grow their businesses.
Kelly’s educational background began in broadcast journalism for which she earned a BS before entering the University of South Florida (USF) where she attended the MBA and mass communications programs, earning an MA in public relations in 1992.
CABA Board President Robert Cunningham of ADT Security said that 2016 is a particularly exciting year for the organization, as CABA celebrates its 30th anniversary with a series of special events that included last week’s Taste of Carrollwood (attended by over 2200 residents and featuring 30 restaurants and 52 business vendors/CABA members.)
On May 13, 2016, Cunningham announced that CABA is hosting a 30th Anniversary Gala at Carrollwood Village Country Club where a number of local VIP’s will be on hand to wish CABA a “happy 30th birthday!”
“Representing over 500 business professionals, CABA has continued to grow to become one of the largest networking organizations in Greater Tampa Bay…it’s time to share and celebrate CABA’s successes with the 30th Anniversary Gala, and we are excited to bring on a public relations contractor to help us with our ongoing growth and development,” said Cunningham.
