Apopka, FL – St. Vincent de Paul Orlando is pleased to support high school student John Loso as his “Life in a Bag” Drive has launched to help local homeless and individuals in need.
The Sanford teenager needs the community’s help to help those in need! John is collecting gently-used purses/draw string bags, toiletries (deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste), feminine-hygiene products and anything else that can be easily put into a purse or a draw string bag! Donated items will fill the purses and draw string bags.
“I saw it being done elsewhere and thought it was a great idea as it provides a bag/purse for later use while providing them with what they need now,” John said.
ALL ITEMS STAY IN OUR AREA and will be distributed to the homeless and people in need who reside in the Sanford and Apopka areas, as well as through the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and other charities who help those John cannot reach.
WHEN WE’RE COLLECTING: March through June 2016/GOAL: 401 items – thank you!
