Nation’s Leading Building Maintenance Management Company Presents Local Business with “Platinum Market” Award
TAMPA BAY, Fla. – Franchise partners, local market team members, and corporate leadership recently assembled at the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort in Clearwater Beach, Florida for City Wide Franchise’s annual convention and awards ceremony.
During the event, City Wide Maintenance of Tampa Bay was presented with the “Platinum Market” award. The performance of the Tampa Bay team, led by Presidents John Duffy and Steve Howerton, earned it the “Platinum Market” designation by achieving a series of high marks in all criteria judged, including total revenue, revenue increase, operations, retention, community involvement, and participation within the franchise system.
“On behalf of the entire company, I would like to congratulate John and Steve and the City Wide Maintenance of Tampa Bay team for the incredible success they achieved in 2015,” said Jeff Oddo, president of Lenexa, Kansas based City Wide Maintenance and City Wide Franchise. “John, Steve and their team uphold the highest levels of standards, and we thank them for their ongoing dedication to the communities they serve.”
Themed “New Beginnings,” the convention celebrated several key accomplishments and inspired all attendees – franchise partners, local market team members, and corporate leadership – to kick-off the year with new ideas, new energy, and a renewed sense of passion and purpose. Attendees participated in extensive educational seminars and business enhancement programs, and were particularly inspired by the keynote speech given by Dayton Moore, general manager for the World Champion Kansas City Royals.
A highlight of the annual convention was the awards ceremony. City Wide Franchise handed top performing City Wide franchise partners and their team members in attendance honors for their sales, customer retention, and superior operations during 2015. The highest designation was reserved for the “Platinum Market” honorees, which were presented with a unique and substantial trophy. Each location will also receive a special celebration with the home office leadership team.
“It is an honor to achieve the “Platinum Market” designation,” said Steve Howerton, co-president of City Wide Maintenance of Tampa Bay. “The award is a testament to the hard work we’ve put in to building tight bonds with property managers and facility service professionals throughout the area. I couldn’t be more proud of our team and their continued commitment to growing our operation into one of the region’s leading building maintenance management companies.”
In addition to the “Platinum Market” award, City Wide Maintenance of Tampa Bay was also honored with the “President’s ‘Special Recognition’ Award,” a special recognition highlighting the exceptional performance the business has achieved in the past year while assisting other franchise partners and raising over $10,000 in charitable contributions. As a token of their appreciation, John and Steve received a check for $5,000 in which it half will go toward the USF Health Byrd Alzheimer’s Institute to aid in research for a cure for dementia and Alzheimer’s and half to the Lavoy Exceptional Center, a program to assist students with a wide range of disabilities ranging in age from three to 22.
