Protect your image. What rights do you have with murals and other works?
The St. Petersburg Arts Alliance presents a free arts Business Continuing Education session at The Greenhouse, Thursday, April 21, 2016. Coffee and networking at 8:30 a.m. followed by presentation from 9-10 a.m.
Whether you’re a painter, mural artist, crafter or other public artisan, your works can be protected from theft, copying. They can be sold, shared and licensed, but you need to learn more about your rights. This session will be particularly helpful for the mural artists, especially those interested in working with SHINE or other public art projects.
Zachary Messa, attorney at Johnson, Pope, Bokor, Ruppel & Burns, spoke at the first session and again during the Arts Business Collaborative. He knows what the issues are. He has volunteered again for this professional development session at no cost. Bring your questions. Last year his two presentations “sold out.”
The St. Petersburg Arts Alliance’s free arts & cultural education seminars are presented in partnership with The Greenhouse on the third Thursday of each month. Sessions are sponsored by the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance Education Committee.
