BRADENTON, Fla. (March 15, 2016) — Centerstone, a not-for-profit organization which provides mental health and addictions services, today announced that Linda Locke Agresta has been elected to its board of directors for a three-year term from 2015-2018. Agresta will serve alongside other Florida community and business leaders to guide the organization’s operations and policies throughout the state.
“I am pleased to have someone with Linda’s knowledge of the community, her caring spirit and her enthusiasm join the Centerstone Board,” said Dr. Pat Lucas, board secretary. “She will help us reach our purpose of ‘delivering care that changes people’s lives.’”
Agresta has nearly 40 years of teaching experience, primarily in Manatee County. She has taught both children and adults and currently serves as the Assistant Director of Manatee Technical School. Agresta received her Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from Florida State University and her Master’s degree in Reading from Nova Southeastern University. She has received many prestigious awards in education and was named Adult Education Administrator of the Year in 2010 for the State of Florida.
“I am excited to become a part of the dynamic team who provides leadership and support for those most in need,” said Agresta. “I look forward to complementing the expertise of others on this Board with my professional experience and extensive involvement in the community.”
