Announces Plans to commit more than $500,000 to Central Florida
MONTVERDE, Fla. — Bella Collina, one of Florida’s leading private golf and country club communities and event venues, recently held a contest – Win A Bella Gala – among 50 of central Florida’s 501(C) (3) charities that support important causes and crucial initiatives.
Quest, Inc., a local disabilities services firm, was selected by live drawing at a luncheon with over 200 attendees held earlier this month at the community in the highlands of South Lake County.
Jerry Thompson, General Manager of The Club at Bella Collina, said Quest, Inc. won a fundraising gala worth more than $25,000 to be held at Bella Collina’s award-winning 75,000 square foot Tuscan-inspired clubhouse.
After Quest, Inc. was declared the gala winner, the crowd was shocked when Bella Collina officials announced that all of the Central Florida charities who entered the contest were winners of a $10,000 gift certificate toward their own $25,000+ gala fundraiser, plus a free one-year ($1,800) social membership at The Club at Bella Collina.
“In total, with over 50 charities represented, Bella Collina has committed over $500,000 back to the Central Florida community,” Thompson said.
The contest finalists announced at the luncheon were American Lung, Quest, Runway to Hope and South Lake Ministries. Quest, Inc. relies on private support, grants and donations of time and money to serve nearly 1,000 people in Central Florida with various developmental disabilities.
“It’s a privilege to be able to share the amenities of this beautiful community to help support all those Central Florida charities who work tirelessly for so many important causes from healthcare, education, the arts and more,” said Thompson.
